Andrew’s In…

Hello Furfriends!  Belated Happy New Year!

Sonny Barker wants to  show you how furry much snow we have here at the warren:

This is one of my favorite spots when it gets cold:

Baxter has been helping me keep furry busy with a new winter project!

We are working furry hard to chew up every slipper that Mom owns in the warren.

She tries to put them up but she forgets I am  a furry good jumper and I will find them.  Ha! Heres a pair!

A Bun’s work is never done…

Andrew’s Weekend Update

Hello Fur Friends! I am going through a molt right now, my furs are not as sublime as they should be.

The paparazzi has somehow managed to catch me off guard and make it public. *Thump*

As if that wasn’t bad enough, look at this yappy nuisance SHE brought into my warren.

His name is Baxter. She said there has been a big hole in her heart since Howard Barker went to the bridge.

I guess Mom always has to have a Bun and a Bagel. I mean a BEAGLE.

Paws for a Cause

Hello all my fur friends! We missed you all and have alot of catching up to do! But first I will tell you about the Barker’s furry important day.

Mum works for a children’s hospital and they had their Children’s Miracle Network Telethon and Kids Are #1 Run today.

So instead of being the lazy Barkers that they usually are, they went to work with hundreds of other doggies at Paws For A Cause!

It was a furry big day for Sonny and Babii.

They even got to meet Petey the Pony! Petey is a FURRY special pony, once a week he visits Mum’s work and helps children forget for awhile how sick they are. Petey is the only pony in the country to visit any children’s hospital. He has been in People magazine, Reader’s Digest, and on Inside Edition.

Here is Sonny and Babii meeting Petey. Sonny is giving him a kiss!

The Barkers did their one mile run with Mom and Sissy, and they each got to bring home a goody bag, too!

We have lots more to catch up on, but for now its time for bed! Hope efurryone had a BUNDERFUL weekend!

The pretty bush in the front has bloomed.

It is a bittersweet spring here at the warren…

On Monday Mom had to help Howard to the Rainbow Bridge. He was her first barker, a loyal friend-to-the-end, and her heart is broke.

Thank you so much Fur & Purr friends and your humans, for your kind words and support, we know you understand, and we love you all!

As much as I loved the life we had and all the times we played,
I was so very tired and knew my time on earth would fade.
I saw a wonderous image then of a place that’s trouble free
Where all of us can meet again to spend eternity.

I saw the most beautiful Rainbow, and on the other side
Were meadows rich and beautiful — lush and green and wide!
And running through the meadows as far as the eye could see
Were animals of every sort, as healthy as could be!
My own tired, failing body was fresh and healed and new
And I wanted to go run with them, but I had something left to do.

I needed to reach out to you, to tell you I’m all right
That this place is truly wonderful, then a bright Glow pierced the night.
‘Twas the Glow of many Candles shining bright and strong and bold
And I knew then that it held your love in its brilliant shades of gold.

For although we may not be together in the way we used to be,
We are still connected by a cord no eye can see.
So whenever you need to find me, we’re never far apart,
If you look beyond the Rainbow and listen with your heart.

Christmas Day at Andrew & Friends

It was a furry bunderful Christmas here at my warren:

Babii Barker got a new sweater:

Sonny Barker was here too, of course:

Sissy and and our family friends had a bunderful dinner that Mom cooked:

Old grumpy Howard Barker was hung over from all the festivities:

Everyone had to stroke my Sublime Bun Fur, as usual:

And we had a beautiful sunset to end the day:

I hope all my fur and purr friends had a bunderful Christmas too!

Merry Christmas!

The House of Andrewbun

Wishes You All A Furry

Snow, Rain, Sleet, then Snow!

I am furry glad I am not a Barker this weekend, They have to pootie outside!

Andrew’s Weekend Update

It has been a cold and rainy Sunday here at the warren. The rain is supposed to change to snow tomorrow so we will have snowy Monday to go with rainy Sunday. I have been working furry hard biting the rubber off the bottom of mom’s slippers.

Mom has been furry busy decorating the warren for Santa Bun:

The Barkers; however, are NOT working hard at anything today:

I hope Santa Bun doesn’t bring those lazy dogs anything. Hmrph!

Meet Sonny Barker

Hi efurrybody!

Well, this is Sonny. He is the middle Barker. By middle I mean size-wise, age-wise, and Gotcha Day wise, too.

He has an underbite, which for some reason the beans think is cute.

He is pretty mild-mannered as far as Barkers go. But he likes to act tough and chase squirrels when he goes outside.  He also is fascinated by kitties, and likes to chase them too!  My Mommy takes him over to her girlfriend’s house to visit sometimes and she has three kitties!  So Sonny likes to chase the kitties and create havoc in kittyland over there.  But he doesn’t hurt them, and if he gets too close they will scratch him and hiss and then he gets scared and jumps on Mommy’s lap.

Sonny is also Grandma bean’s favorite, which all I have to say about that is Hmmph!

Grandma bean comes over on Sundays and visits with Mommy and the Brother and Sister bean.  Grandma doesn’t really seem to like me much, Mommy said it is because I run and do binkies and one time I jumped up on the couch and scared her. I was just gettin’ my exercise doin’ the Bunny 500. Geez!

Mommy: Andrew, you are forgetting to tell them something….

Ohhh yeah, and when I jumped up on the couch, I gotted a little excited and bit her in the back.  I do that sometimes, I can’t help it.

So anyways, I guess that is why I am not Grandma’s favorite.  She loves her Sonnybun, but not Andrewbun. *sigh*

Happy Friday

Happy Friday efurrybody.  My mum is very happy it is almost the weekend, her is furry tired.  She said something this morning before she left for work about having to mop the floor when she gets home and then we will have playtime.

We have had big kabooms in the sky and lots of rain all week here at my warren.  The old grumpy Barker hates the kabooms.  This is old grumpy Barker, on a nice day when he can sun bathe:

His name is Howard.  He is fourteen years old!  My mum says in woofie years, that is 98 years old!  So at night when it kabooms, he paces and paces and paces.  Keeps mum awake through the nite.  I sit in my bed at night and watch grumpy Barker pace.  But it is okay if I am awake, ‘cuz when mum goes to work I can snooze.  Zzzzzzzzz…..
